I just had a great massage at Body Techniques. I’ve had plenty of fancy spa massages at Burke-Williams in LA & SF, The Claremont, Calistoga etc. and this was just as good–for half the price. No bathrobes or or showers with crazy amounts of water, but a very clean place with a great massage therapist and friendly staff. My husband is a huge massage snob and he loved his as well. They have great “club” rates and package discounts, but we weren’t pressured at all to join or spend more money. We will definitely be going back.

I’m often referred to as a “city snob”, okay – I admit it, I am. But for massage— hands down — Body Techniques! It was worth the trek across the bay, and I’ll be back for more! I’ve had plenty of massages in the city, and they have all been ‘fine’, but never memorable. Yesterday’s massage at Body Techniques turned my anxious personality into jello! To properly unwind, and have a 5+ star massage, that’s worth a trip(s) to BT in Alameda. Never thought I’d put that in writing. I look forward to my return trip for that must have relaxation, and highly recommend you do the same!

This place is great. My wife and I have been members for over a year. Pay $20 per month ($35 for couples) and you get unbelievably great prices. The CMTs are all top notch. My go to is Joanne. She is just awesome and I always walk out of there a wet noodle. If you work or live in the area and can take advantage of this establishement please do so and tell them you saw my review on yelp.
