Bay Area Wellness Center - Rejuvenate, Refresh, Heal, Relax

Yoga Classes

Balance yourself with our New Yoga, Chi Kung (Qigong) and Exercise classes.

Come on and give it a try.  Yoga has been around for over 5000 years and millions of people around the globe participate and can attest to the benefits of doing so.  Yoga obviously improves your flexibility, but it also strengthens your core as well and that has many benefits from improving posture to helping with back pain.  The breathing techniques you learn doing yoga bring relaxation and help reduce the effects of stress – and studies show this relaxation releases a host of biochemical responses that benefit the body.

Even more benefits include improving concentration, stabilizing moods, slowing down aging, lowering blood pressure, slowing heart rate and even reversing the effects of heart disease.  Other conditions helped by yoga include insomnia, asthma, arthritis, and many others.   Some say even relationships improve as a result of yoga.  Well, only one way to know, you gotta try it for yourself.  Find balance in your life, while you refresh and heal your body.

Paola King

Yoga found me in Feb 2004. I got hooked the moment I took that first class. Traveling back and forth between Germany and USA, I met a lot of yoga styles and teachers.  In 2009 I decided to become a certified Yoga Instructor, Vinyasa Flow. I have taught different levels of Yoga. Beginners to Advanced, Yoga for Irish Tap Dancers, Post Natal, Soft/gentle Flow, private sessions. Even though my certification is in Vinyasa Flow, my teachings are strongly influenced by Iyengar and Ashtanga. I teach yoga classes to emphasize discipline and proper form, while also maintaining a sense of fun and lightness. I continuously expand my education through workshops with national and international yoga teachers, while keeping my own practice active.
